Diet for Night Clubbers

There is one rule that everyone who goes out to a night club knows and that is not to drink on an empty stomach or you will be going home early and probably throwing up on the way.

Do not restrict your caloric intake before going to a night club. If anything, you should increase your calories by approximately 10 percent to accommodate for the alcohol which is dehydrating and burns more calories through your metabolism than regular laktosefreie Ernährung  drinks and foods. Although, most mixed drinks and beer have more calories than some foods, so if you are watching your weight, be careful of what and how much you drink at the night clubs.

An example of the calories in gin and tonic would be 64 per ounce which is the same as rum, whisky and tequila. A better choice, with fewer calories would be brandy or cognac at only 50 calories per ounce.

Do not rely on energy drinks for a boost before going to a night club. A diet for night clubbers should consists of a healthy meal of essential vitamins, minerals and starches before hand and plenty of water before, during and after going to a night club. Water will help keep you dehydrated and help to flush out the alcohol in your blood stream. You can also hydrate yourself with real fruit juices.

One myth about drinking milk before going to a night club to drink is that it (milk) helps slow the absorption of alcohol into the body by coating the stomach. This is false because alcohol is absorbed directly into the blood stream from the stomach, milk or other liquids will only dilute the alcohol, not prevent it from being absorbed. Only food will help to absorb the alcohol and slow the ‘drunkenness’ process.

A good idea is if you know you will be drinking at the club in a few days, is to start taking vitamin C a couple of days before your clubbing night. This will help your immune system and keep you from getting a really bad hangover. Although, this is not a guarantee.

Eating a greasy bar burger or pizza or other appetizers will probably mix wrong with the alcohol and you may end up staring into the toilet after all. So eat something healthy, fish, steak and eggs, chicken and a salad or beans. The best diet for night clubbers is one of pasta and bread because they tend to help the absorption of alcohol better than any other foods around.

However, it is a good idea to eat something during your night out at the club, Laktosefrei  French fires, pretzels, popcorn or peanuts, something that is not too greasy, would be good to eat to help with the absorption of alcohol.

One of the latest crazes to hit the club scenes is to mix energy drinks with alcohol, which a high energy drink is mixed with a depressant, the alcohol. There is not a lot of long term studies done on this type of drink mixing, however some researchers and doctors agree this could be a recipe for a heart failure.
